Fixed Rate Sanders (FRS)

Our Fixed Rate Sander systems can be a cost-effective solution where a train has limited life remaining, for freight applications and where a shorter lead time is required. These systems can be installed where there are no existing sanding systems or as a like-for-like replacement.

Fixed rate sanders include:

• Standard sand hopper that delivers sand at the drivers request

Optional extras/upgrades

• Electric heater to remove moisture from sand for improved delivery and to prevent corrosion
  
  
• Level sensors to monitor the quantity of sand remaining in the hopper
  
  
• Filtration and coalescer to remove particles and excess water from the incoming air supply to prevent corrosion and to protect sander pneumatic system
  
  
• Bespoke hopper to better suit the application e.g larger capacity or where there is a non-standard space envelope.
